What is Will AI?
Will AI is a free assistant from MyLastWill that asks you simple questions, by text or voice, and writes your will from your answers. It also gives you a signing checklist for your state and, if you like, wording for gifts to causes you care about.
Is a will written with AI legally valid?
Yes, if you sign it the way your state requires. Validity depends on signing, usually in front of two adult witnesses who inherit nothing, not on who or what drafted the words. Will AI uses the same will templates as our step-by-step builder.
Is my conversation private?
Your conversation is sent to our AI provider to write each reply, and we don't store it. It's kept only in this browser tab until you close it or choose Start over. Never share account numbers, passwords or your Social Security number; Will AI doesn't need them.
Can Will AI give me legal advice?
No. Will AI is not a lawyer. It helps you prepare a will from your own answers and will suggest an estate attorney for situations that need one, such as a family business, a beneficiary with special needs, or a very large estate.
Can I edit what Will AI writes?
Yes. Choose Edit in the builder to open your answers in our step-by-step builder, where you can change anything before you print.
Which states does Will AI work in?
All 50 states and D.C., except that we don't yet prepare wills or codicils for Louisiana or North Carolina residents. There, Will AI gives you gift wording and beneficiary-form wording to take to a local attorney.
