The short version: your will is yours. The builder runs in your browser, and we only receive what you choose to send us.

Your will and plan

Your answers in the will and legacy builder are processed in your web browser and saved only on your device, using your browser's local storage, so you can come back later. They are not sent to us. You can erase them at any time with “Start over” in the builder or by clearing your browser's site data.

If you use a shared or public computer, choose “Start over” when you're finished.

AI assistants and our API

If you use MyLastWill through an AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Grok, or through our API, the assistant sends your answers to our server, which turns them into documents and sends them back. We don't store what's sent, keep logs of it, or use it for anything else. Your conversation with the assistant is covered by that provider's privacy policy, so check their settings for how your chats are kept.

Information you choose to send

If you tell us about your gift or email us, we receive what you send, such as your name, email address, the causes you chose and their percentages. We use it to thank you, answer your questions, confirm legal names for your gift, and plan our research. We never sell or rent it, and we don't share it with charities without your permission.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the site secure and working. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser requests them. We don't use advertising trackers.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information you've sent us by emailing hello@mylastwill.org. You can unsubscribe from any email we send.

Children

MyLastWill is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
